Description du poste
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an OFCI Equipment Procurement Manager based in France. In this role, you will oversee the technical and commercial procurement of critical equipment for large-scale, mission-critical data center facilities. You will ensure that essential power, cooling, and control systems meet demanding reliability, performance, and availability standards. Working closely with engineering, design, construction, and project management teams, you will drive procurement activities from technical specification and vendor selection through manufacturing, delivery, and commissioning. You will manage long-lead equipment and complex international supply chains while ensuring alignment with construction schedules and operational milestones. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of highly resilient data center infrastructure supporting the rapidly growing global AI ecosystem. This is an opportunity to take ownership of strategic procurement activities in a fast-paced, international, and technically innovative environment. \n
Accountabilities Technical Scope and Engineering Coordination: Support the definition and validation of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment scopes in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams. Review technical specifications, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and datasheets to ensure compliance with project requirements, redundancy standards, fault tolerance, and uptime targets. Vendor Selection and Technical Procurement: Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for critical infrastructure equipment. Coordinate technical and commercial bid evaluations, conduct vendor interviews and design alignment workshops, and support contract negotiations covering performance guarantees, availability, factory acceptance testing (FAT), delivery milestones, and warranties. Critical Equipment Procurement: Coordinate procurement activities for long-lead, mission-critical infrastructure equipment, including electrical systems such as generators, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, and busways; mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and heat exchangers; and monitoring and control systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and protection and control systems. Manufacturing, Testing, and Quality Control: Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules. Review technical drawings, protection studies, and control logic, coordinate factory inspections and FAT activities, and support integrated systems testing where applicable. Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and technical change control throughout the procurement process. Logistics, Delivery, and Installation Readiness: Support logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment, coordinating international transportation, customs clearance, and just-in-time deliveries. Ensure appropriate equipment preservation, storage, and environmental controls at project sites, and contribute to installation readiness reviews and contractor handovers. Schedule, Risk, and Interface Management: Track long-lead procurement items and activities against project critical paths. Identify and mitigate risks related to equipment availability, supplier lead times, manufacturing capacity, and supply chain disruptions. Coordinate interfaces between OFCI equipment and contractor-installed systems while providing regular procurement progress and risk reports to project leadership. Documentation, Commissioning, and Handover: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of technical documentation, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and warranties. Support commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and final equipment handover to operations teams, ensuring all OFCI packages meet data center operational requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of professional experience and technical training. At least 5 years of experience in technical procurement, engineering, or a related field within data centers or other mission-critical facilities. Demonstrated experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment. Strong technical understanding of critical electrical power and mechanical cooling systems used in data center environments. Practical experience with factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning activities, and coordination with engineering, construction, and installation contractors. Ability to evaluate technical specifications, assess vendor compliance, review engineering documentation, and support complex procurement decisions. Experience managing critical equipment suppliers, manufacturing schedules, quality requirements, and delivery milestones. Strong understanding of procurement planning, supply chain risk management, and project schedule control, particularly for long-lead equipment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive approach to managing technical and commercial challenges. Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center environments is a significant advantage. Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent data center reliability frameworks is considered an asset. Familiarity with relevant international and industry standards, including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and applicable local regulations. Benefits: Competitive compensation package reflecting skills, experience, and expertise. Career development opportunities within a rapidly growing technology and infrastructure environment. Continuous learning and opportunities to expand technical and procurement expertise. Flexibility and a high level of ownership over responsibilities and projects. Collaborative and innovative working culture with talented international teams. Opportunity to contribute to large-scale, impactful projects supporting the development of AI infrastructure. Exposure to advanced data center technologies and complex, high-impact engineering projects. Opportunity to work in a fast-moving environment that encourages bold thinking, professional growth, and meaningful contributions. An inclusive and diverse workplace that values different perspectives, collaboration, and equal opportunities.
